Day 238

Confession: My grandfather was a standoffish person, but I was told as a child I would constantly force my way into making him—and others—smile.

I notice that pattern in myself still. I have a deep need to find the most difficult people, and pull something out of them that others can’t.

It’s not always in my best interest, and that’s a threshold I’ve come to understand.
