The Finale

Thank you for being here.

The first 2/3 of this project were spent grasping. Fighting the bitterness and trauma, while awaiting the resolution of things out of my control. An exhausted “woe is me” that I was aware of, powerless against, and desperate to break.

During the last stretch I found myself settling in and the practice began to work its magic. The shift coincided with my current state. I made changes. Huge ones that I wouldn’t have been capable of before this. The third act taught me I will never run out of things to feel, create, overcome and confess. That it’s impossible for anyone, including myself, to know every part of me.

I cleaned out my closet and found her sitting in the back. 365 consecutive days. A living character arc in real time—I give that to you, and still have my secrets.

I transitioned from being a survivor of my circumstances to being the master of them.

Now I want to master the rest of the house.

I’m only getting started.

Xoxo
